I guess others thought it'd be cool to name your internet identity off a Midwestern cryptid too, and being late to the party, I was left with the leetspoken, Xbox Live-esque number-addled abomination. I'm a lot of things!
My big take on life is that there's so much to it, and people usually only confine themselves to a couple things. I love to explore and learn about different topics, and try all sorts of things.
Life's short, and I want to see as much as it has to offer as I can!
I was just a little kid during the fabled "golden age" of the internet, back when Geocities, MySpace, etc. were the places to be. Never had the chance to appreciate them, to be a part of that space and history. With the current internet landscape becoming more and more dystopian by the day, with a handful of companies owning all the virtual property and harvesting our data for advertising and AI, I was wanting a change, but never knew where to turn to. On fateful Monday afternoon, I stumbled across a YouTube Video by onionboots. This return to the internet of old was so alluring to me, the promise of having my own space and connecting with others, not in algorithimic, addicting ways, but naturally, warts and all. I had to be a part of it. Later that night, I made my Neocities account and started work on my very own website, writing the words you're reading right now.
Whatever I want!
But seriously, I just want a little corner of the world wide web to call my own, to share with the few that find it. I'm planning on sharing my music and inevitably yapping about whatever's going on in my life or whatever topic I find engaging at the moment. I'd love to try and make some little games like the Flash gems of old, or maybe try some community puzzle/ARG things. We'll find out together!
